SIMS integrates with Sharp photocopiers via software called DMS which allows office staff to bulk scan lots of documents such as consent forms, intake forms, etc., and automatically upload them into the Documents area of the MIS.
It would be useful if iSAMS had similar functionality which would allow this to be done more quickly.
(For example, the DMS solution allows the use of 'header pages' with QR-codes on them, so the system knows that every page to be scanned by the copier after that is linked to a particular pupil in the MIS - and then these are scanned and automatically uploaded to the right student's record, and can be done for an entire year group in one go...)
Agreed, a function missed from iSAMS. Even though there is no DMS in iSAMS, a similar scanning routine should be developed.
