We currently use Fee Billing and iFinance. We are finding the integration between these two systems to be weak where a parent's billing account is associated with more than one pupil, as:
Any brought forward balances are only display on one of the pupil's bills.
We cannot match up child-specific payments, such as childcare vouchers or fees paid in advance, with a particular pupil.
This leads to a poorer experience for some parents.
I think the solution is to have an area within Fee Billing where payments associated with a billing account can be assigned to a particular student account - in effect forming a breakdown of a billing account by pupil. This will enable us to create separate brought forward balances for pupils, which could then feature within the parent portal.
