Currently, if a customer wants to upload a shift pattern to an employee's record they have to perform the action individually. This is time consuming in single schools, however in trusts with 1000+ employees it's completely impossible to dedicate the time to it.
Shift Patterns are vital to the Absence Module, Time & Expenses Module and the absence MIS import (as this is what the system uses to work out working time lost automatically).
There is a feature in the system which allows you to create shift templates, however these still have to be added to each individual record.
My colleague Lewis Hattan made the suggestion when I first joined that there should be a column in the employee import spreadsheet where you can select from the created templates and mass assign in an import.
I feel that this would massively help the work load of updating shift patterns and allow large trusts to get their shift patterns in without having to escalate a complaint through to development.
