Attendance Officer and Cover Manager has stated that they would prefer to have the registration manager module (our school calls it attendance manager), on the period view tab, with the division already set and the absence, present or not yet registered options expanded so that students can be registered efficiently.
Thank you for your suggestion. The reason that the system does not prepopulate the division and the registration status is because a division could contain 50 to several hundred students (depending on the school), and if all divisions were selected, this would include the entire school (potentially more than a 1000 students). This would mean that the page would automatically try to populate the results of all those students and so the page (rather than loading within a few seconds once the filters are selected) would take several minutes to load each time and possibly longer for larger schools. In the long run, therefore, having the filters preset would actually make the process slower. I hope this explanation helps.
