We've noticed that archiving Gradebooks doesn't remove the parent portal publishing (but it does the report mapping) which is slightly nonsensical. This means that parent portal publishing needs to be removed from over 500 archived gradebooks. Bulk functionality has been highlighted for Gradebooks and this is another area where the editing of portal publishing needs to have bulk functionality.
In September/October, we will be releasing the Curriculum Manager, where you will be able to manage not only the creation and allocation of Gradebook templates but also bulk manage the portal publishing dates of those templates.
Gradebooks will continue to be archived over the next year; however, they will now be linked to "Archived" Annual Cycles. Essentially, in the Curriculum Manager, you can filter to a previous year, view the "Set" in CM, and there will be a shortcut to the archived Gradebook specific to that Set.
We are facing this same situation on our schools, if we might have the ability to put an "Previous Academic Years" where all the archived gradebooks are stored would be great.
