When adding calculation columns to templates in Curriculum Manager (using the “Manage Grading Templates” ) - it normally adds the calculation columns at the beginning of the grouping which is great. But this only works this way if you have only one calculation column level. If you add an extra level, where you have calculated children columns, it moves the higher level calc column to the end of the grouping. There is an option to sort the columns in the template but this does not respect the calculated columns order.
For example, if I add a calc column called Formative then it works just fine (see attachment 103.jpg). but if I add two more calc columns in addition under Formative i.e. Quizzes and Homework, then both calc for Quizzes and Homework stay at the beginning of their groupings (or left side of the groupings, in the work view) and the Formative calc column moves to the end of the higher level grouping. We would love to have everything at the beginning or everything at the end, to avoid confusion. Or give the liberty to the user configuring the templates to choose where they want them.
I am including two attachments, one with just Formative (103.jpg) and one with the 2 levels of subgrouping (MS.jpg) with a red arrow pointing where we really would like to have this calculated column.
P.S. I understand you can MOVE the column by dragging and dropping in the List View but when using Templates, you do not want ot have to do this manually for all the gradebooks, you want to have this control at the template level.
