As part of the recent update on 10 January 2025, new fields have been added to the Contact Details screen to capture contacts nationalities, languages and preferred language.
We do not collect or store this information, and would like the option to either hide or delete these fields. The new layout fills over half the Contact Details screen with drop-down lists (see attachment), forcing the user to scroll down to access key fields including Parental Responsibility and SOS Contacts. When you are updating multiple records, this slows down the process considerably, and makes it difficult to find important information at a glance.
Another idea would be to move these new fields to the bottom of the screen. It seems unlikely that a school would need to check a contact's nationality or language more frequently than their other contact details.
