Allow individual permissions on report folders

Before we migrated to iSAMS hosted we were able to set individual AD permissions to SSRS folders of reports which enabled us to hide reports which pulled confidential data such as HR data from some users.

Please can iSAMS consider something similar to this using iSAMS user groups?

Not all modules allow the ability to have custom reports allocated to them such as SEN and Timetabler Manager. As we have confidential HR reports we cannot allow SEN or Timetable staff access to the Analytics & Insights module so they cannot access some of their reports now.

We're also in the same boat and asked for this when we migrated quite recently to iSAMS hosting.

In the meantime we're using a workaround which isn't nearly as secure as folder permissions but does help

We've added a 'report code' parameter which is effectively a password on the report itself. If you link it to the report query you can block the return of any data if the user doesn't put in the correct code.

Alternatively I believe you can add a parameter to a report called userCode which iSAMS automatically populates when the report is run. You can then check for user names or user permissions in the report query and decide whether to return data or not.

The ability to create permission for SSRS reports or analytics and insights folders, with sensitive staff data SSRS reports is crucial to maintain GDPR compliance. Please can this be looked at? The above original request is from March 2022?
