Having a 'Staff out of school' section would be very useful to make staff aware of any other staff which are off site on any particular day at a glance when first opening iSAMS. This section could operate similarly to the 'out of school' list which is on the dashboard for pupils which are not in school. The reason for being out of school does not need to be shared with staff on the dashboard, and therefore only their name needs to be shown on this list. The ability to add staff to the out of school list in advance would save time and email traffic of having to notify all staff on which staff are absent on every single day. It would also better prepare staff who frequently cover lessons as they could look at what teachers are scheduled to be away at the beginning of each week and plan accordingly for lessons which they may be required to cover in a staff members absence.
