The Activities Manager has export to Outlook as ICS file - could this please be available to Calendar Manager and ESPECIALLY to parents viewing the calendar via the PArent Portal?
I agree with calendar integrations. I'd be looking for appointments noted on the Medical Module to integrate with the Assign Out of School registration to stop duplicate manual entries being required.
Thanks
our parents are wanting this- we offered it with our standalone website. So they feel we have now downgraded now with isams
Agree with fellow users. An integrated calendar should be a given in any system like this.
It is incredible that we are now over 14 years into this being raised and nothing has been done by way of integrating iSAMS to be able to have a live feed to mobile devices. Please can this be looked into, or at the very least, some sort of response from iSAMS as to why not.
This is a crucial issue for our school; I absolutely endorse the request. Our parent community perceives iSams as a downgrade for reasons such as this. I agree with the comments below; if iSams cannot fix this issue (which was "sold" as a working feature during the demo stage), it could impact the future of the system at our school.
In my opinion, this feature is critical to the future of the iSAMS Calendar. Pupils and staff have google calendars associated with their login, but have to download a static ical timetable each term, and NONE of the calendar events are able to be connected. Please can we have the ability to have individual timetables pushed to calendars, and the ability to subscribe to relevant events calendars all in one place on the Parent and Student portals, and also for staff?
An additional feature that seems to be missing is live URL feeds.
Currently, pupils can subscribe to live URL calendar feeds via MySchoolPortal product, but there is a delay in integration between ISAMS and MySchoolPortal.
If pupils and staff could subscribe their office 365 accounts to live URL feeds directly from ISAMS that would be great.
Currently, only pupils can subscribe to a live feed in MySchoolPortal (and not teachers).
Downloading and importing ICS files is so old fashioned, and the files soon get out of date as the timetable changes regularly (staff changes / timetable changes / set changes).
Many thanks,
