We've implemented the missed register alerts for years 7-13 this term and have come across an issue where a lesson is set as "No Cover Required" in the Cover Manager as the timetabled teacher receives the notification even though they are not teaching the lesson.
Please could we have some options to control this within the notifications set up area:
A) Leave as timetabled teacher
B) Pick a named member of staff
C) Enter an email address (this is likely to be the school office, so generic rather than a person)
For now, we've added a fake member of staff to HR Manager, and excluded them from the censuses, to avoid notifications going to the wrong person.
This issue also means the member of SLT who gets the daily summary report is seeing items they don't need to see. Our temporary work around will mean they still see them, but can easily disregard them as they know the fake person's name.
Hi Neil, the 'No Cover Required' option should prevent any missed registration alerts sending to the timetabled teacher and should exclude that class from the daily report. If your school is recieving missed registration alerts for a lesson marked with 'No Cover Required', please would you submit a ticket to the customer support desk, including the original emails that were sent, the set details including the teacher information and the cover setup, so we can investigate why this is happening.
