At the moment the consent registers which can be added on the Admissions Portal forms feed the data back into the Data Protection module only when we approve a new submission. However every year we send out forms to parents and pupils that are already on our system as applicants. For that reason we have to merge their form submissions otherwise we would have duplicate entries created.
When merging them, the Consent Register responses do not get fed back in the module making that data (and the existence of the consents in those forms) pointless.
Since the merge feature works for other modules why not make it work for the Data Protection module as well?
