We should be able to add any students to a Build Set. As we are a small centre, we have some sets that are Years 7 to 8 or Years 7 to 9. Now in these sets, only the top year will be moving out into the 10-11 set for instance. So we should have the option of selecting current pupils in the set as well as new pupils to basically say that these pupils will be in the set next year. After all, the Build Set feature is there so we can start preparing sets before the roll over / end of term so we should be able to make the sets exactly how we want them to make sure things work the way we want them to!
