To unlink or to remove a father_copy or Mother_copy contact that have no relationships to a student.
Students that have no relationships to a contact been create as Mother_copy and unable to unlink from this student. IF to remove the contact it will affect the other student contact as Mother.

You can make the contact a "private contact" via the parent contact in the correct sibling. Tick "private contact" and save. Go in to the contact again if you need to link other pupils and do this via the linked pupils tab.
I think the recent upgrade to contacts makes this easier though - contacts are suggested and can be refused.
