Currently if the SIMS cover manager forgets* (or doesn’t have time or sufficient access rights in SIMS) to add illness reason to the absence record before the next Wonde sync, the absence is added to Every HR as a general absence and “Sickness” becomes a new general absence reason at property level that staff can select when requesting leave. All such absence records need tidying up by HR staff before the general absence option for “Sickness” can be deleted from the property.
Importing as Sickness with unknown reason would solve the new category issue, and only leave one piece of data to collect to complete the record.
*Illness category is added via the staff absence record (from the staff profile), which is not directly accessible from the SIMS cover window.
