For sensitivity reasons we changed the tag/routing so only the principal is tagged to authorise all leave requests in Every HR. When the principal requests their own leave for authorisation, currently this routes straight back to them. What we would like to have happen is that they can’t authorise their own leave but instead - as an exception - it is routed to the CEO to authorise the leave request.
Logic should be:
Person requests leave.
Every HR confirms whether they’re notified in any next steps of the tagging chain.
If they are not, the default tagging route applies.
If they are, their position in the tagging route goes to their line manager or the next senior person (in our case it would always be the CEO, as the principal’s leave requests would be the only exceptions in each property).
