It would be good if you could use the 'Locate Free Objects & Periods', 'By Object' to find when a student or combination of students are free in the same way you can for rooms and / or teachers.
For the benefit of schools finding this request prior to such time as iSAMS develop it (it is currently marked as 'good feature')...
I use a custom report in Pupil Manager to achieve this functionality, which I am happy to share (it used to be shared on the old iCommunity Reports upload area) - drop me a line here.
