The Cover Manager generates an RSS feed of published cover for the day, which we use to show a list of cover in external systems (e.g. Teams)
However both the published Teacher cover and the Room cover use the same output format:
<
timetable slot
>: <
covering
> to cover for <
normal lesson teacher
> with <
set
> [<
subject
>] in room <
room
>
the only thing that changes is that <covering> is a teacher for Teacher cover or a room for Room cover. This makes the feed more difficult to read than it should be.
It would be better if Room cover used a different format that showed the covering relationship adjacent, e.g.:
<
timetable slot
>:
room <
covering room
> in place of
<
normal lesson room
>
for <
set
> [<
subject
>] with <
normal lesson teacher
>
Perhaps also, the teacher cover layout could then add the word "teacher" before the covering teacher name to emphasise the distinction, so:
<
timetable slot
>:
teacher <
covering teacher
> to cover for <
normal lesson teacher
>
with <
set
> [<
subject
>] in room <
room
>
