When configuring a Rewards type it is possible to add the Subject and Department as drop-down fields in the wizard. It is also possible to configure whether those fields are required to be entered or not.
However, the wizard does not make any visible distinction between fields that are required and those that are not, and because only academic subjects/departments are currently shown, staff feel that the have to pick a subject/department even when it is not relevant to their submission: they have no way to know that they can leave those fields blank.
So, while it would certainly be better to be able to populate those field lists with non-academic options (see Idea https://ideas.isams.com/ideas/MIS-I-3955), please could the wizard tag optional fields as such in the display.
