It would be helpful for a scheduled report to go out to Head of Department on a definable basis (weekly/monthly). This would allow Department Heads to look at the registration timeliness and completeness for the registers in their department. Flagging missed registers centrally (School Office or Management) or to the "culprit" is useful on the day but a report to the Heads of Department would be very useful as it localises the discussions around any slips in taking registration - email/report summary digest is directed towards the direct line manager of the staff who missed register(s).
As an example for lesson registration, a missed register would be if it is entirely missed or if someone else had to input on their behalf (cover would need considered). Late register would be any registers taken outside of the preferred register window (first 10 mins of period).
Idea would be something along the lines of the following to the HoD for Maths:
Name: John Doe
Missed Registers: 2
Registers missed: S4Maths1, S5Maths2
Late Registers: 1
Late registers: S4Maths1, S5Maths2
Average lateness: 2mins.
