It would be a huge benefit to add Work Telephone number to the contacts page in Student Manager (All Address Types). We have to make lots of extra records (Work Address Type) just to capture this info making the dataset much larger (and untidier) than is necessary. More often than not this is the only new info we are adding. Looking at the data, there are many other telephone options such as Day, Eve, Mobile, Fax (never used). Adding 2 extra fields Conatct1_WorkPhone & Conatct2_WorkPhone - would be hugely beneficial for us.
Note that it is currently possible to add only a single work phone number to a non-work contact, thus it doesn't work great for joint contacts, and I imagine that this is not an 'approved' iSAMS method: if you change a contact address type to "Work" the Work Number field appears and can be filled in, then you restore the original type, e.g. "Home", before clicking Save, and the entered work number is retained in the record on save...
I suspect that this Idea will be rejected in due course because of the ongoing major contacts system re-write (see recent roadmap webinars going back for a few years), which would hopefully fix this issue.
