When a Line Manager is absent, such as on annual leave, it would be helpful if they could re-route any approvals, that normally go to them, to another staff member (eg their deputy or another Line Manager). That way, if a team member requests holiday for instance, while their line manager is absent, another member of staff could approve it.

Our old system Civica HR used to have a feature where a substitute could be nominated for a particular person for a defined or indefinite period. All requests that would have gone to said person, would instead be routed to the substitute.
Another issue we have for Holiday approvals is those staff that report into to a Leadership team member who are happy to designate authority to their PA's. In the situation above, we'd like the request to go to both so that the SLT or their PA have the option to approve leave.
