It would be nice if we had an option to lock only a specific group of columns, instead of locking the whole gradebook. We divide our gradebooks by terms (term 1, 2, 3...), so it would be interesting to be able to lock the terms that have already finished.
Hello,
I believe Curriculum Manager will address this issue in how you build a gradebook template for a set or group of sets. As part of the template setup, you will define the number of grading periods included in the gradebook. Each grading period has a grading date configuration, where you can specify when grading opens and closes.
Once the grading period closes, teachers will no longer be able to edit grades. However, gradebook admins will still have the ability to make amendments after the grading date has passed.
Please let me know if you have any further questions. Also, keep an eye out for upcoming communications about a webinar I'll be leading next month, where I'll walk through the module configuration.
Curriculum Manager is being released to give schools time to set up the module—including gradebook templates—before the next school year.
Thank you, and let me know if you need any more details!

Shawn. An easy add on feature for this would be making it possible for to lock the master gradebooks which will in turn lock the teacher gradebooks. Allowing only certain permission levels to also unlock it of course.
